Can I add more than two post-purchase upsells?

Hello,

I’m trying to add multiple post-purchase upsells. However, I’m not able to add more than 2.

Is 2 upsells the limit? Or is there a way to add more than 2 upsells after someone purchases a product?

The limit changed since this thread. It was two accepted offers per order,
and Shopify raised it to three in September 2024.

The wording matters more than the number: what’s capped is the offers a buyer
accepts, not the offers you show. A funnel can walk someone through several
steps (accept, decline, downsell) and only the acceptances count against the
three. Each one applies a separate changeset to the same order, which is why
you can end up with three added lines instead of one.

Two things that catch people out past the first offer. A decline needs its own
path, otherwise the buyer gets shown the same product twice and it reads as
broken. And the page never renders at all for orders paid with Apple Pay,
Google Pay, PayPal, gift cards or POS, so on a lot of stores a big share of
orders never reaches step one, let alone step three.

It depends on the upsell app you’re using. Some apps limit post-purchase upsells, while others allow multiple offers. check the app settings or consider an app that support more upsell steps.
