so I have currently a domain name, for example abc.nl
and i want to close this store, and im going to create a new one. is it possible to change / edit the existing domain name ?
so i paid 14 usd for the domain, is it possible to change that domain to another domain name ? or do i need to forgot about it and close the store completly. And open a new one and then buy a new domain again ?
how does it work please.

Thank you for reaching out regarding this. It’s a very good question. When you purchase a domain you purchase the rights to that specific domain for 12 months regardless of whether you continue with that Shopify account, said domain is still yours for the duration of the 12 months. This domain cannot be returned or exchanged for another. If you are planning on opening another Shopify store and want another domain for this new store you will need to purchase a new domain. If you wish to use the domain you have already bought on your original store you can transfer it to your new store as per this guide, you cannot, however, change it for a new domain.
