Can I change the social sharing image for product variants?

Hey folks,

When I share a product link, the image is the main product image. Can I change the image to the variant image when sharing the product variant link?

By default, the feature image of the product will be used as the social share image. You cannot change it to use another image.

Our app allows you to do so by storing the social sharing image as a separate metafield. Feel free to ping me if you’re interested.

I’m looking for the same solution! I have installed your app, but cannot find a place to select the right image per product variant.

Our app can’t support a custom social share image per variant now.
