Can I charge buyers based on their payment type?

For example if they use PayPal, They charge fees. I would like to pass that cost to the buyer. If they use other payment types its cheaper. Give them choices

Greetings, @SoapMan .

Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!

If your store only offers PayPal, then you can consider marking up the prices of your products to include the merchant fees charged by PayPal. However, due to the varying fees between payment gateways, this wouldn’t be a viable option if you’d like to offer multiple payment methods in your store. Nevertheless, since there isn’t a way to pass merchant fees or charge prices based on the customers’ selected payment methods at this time, then I’d be happy to log this as a feature request on your behalf for future considerations.

That being said, while limiting the payment methods offered in your store might not seem like a good idea for the convenience of your customers, offering simply one credit card payment method is also not uncommon and this would allow you to prevent the use of certain payment methods. With the advances in online payments and mobile wallets in recent years, customers can now pay conveniently with credit cards stored on their devices so I don’t think limiting the payment options would necessarily impact your store negatively.

I’d love to hear more about your business! What kinds of products do you sell? Do you get more orders processed through PayPal than other gateways?
