Can I connect one store catalog to multiple Instagram accounts?

Hi,

I have a question.

Is there a way I can connect the shopify store/catalog to two different Instagram accounts to add the shop to both accounts? One for the business and one for my personal one.

I am an influencer and I know if I would be able to tag directly the products in my posts and have the catalog connected to my personal account I could increase the sales even more. At the same time, I need the catalog connected to the Brand account as it is growing as well but slower than my personal page. Please let me know how can I do this. I saw on another influencer she has the shop connected to both her personal account and her business account.

That is exactly the same question as I have!

Did find a solution to this?

I figured out that the catalog can only be connected to one Facebook Business account (that means one instagram account).

I’m not sure, but maybe we have to create a second business account to connect the same catalog to. New Facebook business account means that it can be connected to a new instagram account.

Any thoughts?

Hi, I ended up adding products manually to the second IG account and it brought a lot of traffic to my website. I selected checkout on the website for the second IG account and it works. I just add the products directly manually in the facebook commerce.

Sounds good Roxanne!

Would you mind sharing a little more? I have a few questions…

  1. Did you create a new account in Facebook Business Manager? Or do you use the one account you already had?

  2. Do you still have one catalog and add products there manually? Or did you create a new catalog to use on your second instagram account?

I’m still on the point where my second instagram account doesn’t have the ‘shopping’ option under settings…

Hi,

I just use new account and new catalog and add products manually to the new catalog. Since the checkout is directly in Shopify, the products are updated authomatically. Also when I create a product manually, I do not add sizes as people click on the product and are taken to Shopify and they can check the size and price there. It works well. Better than nothing.

Totally better than nothing!
So it gives you some extra website traffic, that’s great.
That was my idea too. Have an account and just let rotate some of my webshop products.

I’m on it :slightly_smiling_face:
