Can I create a button anchor link to an email contact form?

I am trying to create an anchor link from a button on the top of our FAQ page that when clicked will go to the bottom of the page where the email contact form is. Is this possible?

Hi,** @CH5 **!

To create anchor links on your FAQ page, you can add HTML content using the rich text editor. You’ll then need to code in your anchor links, which you can do by following a guide such as this one here.

Adding anchor links is outside the scope of what our Shopify staff can do. So if you’re not comfortable with coding and need further help, you can look into hiring one of our Shopify Experts to assist you in coding a tailored solution for your anchor links.

It’s nice to see that you’re looking at customising the FAQ page of your store to help customers quickly and easily find the information that they need! Was there any other aspect of your store that you’re currently working on too, to help increase customer experience on your storefront?

Hi Kimi,

Thanks for your reply - I understand the basics of adjusting the liquid code. My question was how to adjust the code so that a button within the theme has the anchor link in it that sends the user to a different section of the page (contact form). Please let me know if this is something you can help guide me to do.

Can’t follow those instructions.

Button: “GET IN TOUCH” on the first hero block

Destination: Contact form block at the bottom of the page.

@CH5

This will need some HTML edits too. Can I have an access ONLY to your code editor. If you are okay i will send a collaboration request

I’m having this same issue, can’t seem to make the actual button anchor to another section on the page. Can you help?

Hello @GraysonJoye

Please share your store URL with screenshot of the issue you are facing.

URL: clubdarma.com
Issue: Trying to get the “how it works” button to link to a lower part of the same page. The normal anchor text instructions I’ve got don’t specify how to make the actual button link to a certain part of the page.

What I did :

Preview your website

Right click to view the Code of the destination section

Copy the DIV id and paste as a link adding # before. It shoud be something like this:

<div id="shopify-section-template--17166966292771__16359276425da8ce46" class=...

your link will be #shopify-section-template–17166966292771__16359276425da8ce46

Works for me.

This worked! Thanks!

Hi @accsdesign

How do you create an anchor to a section on a different page? I’m trying to link a button on my homepage to a section with a form at the bottom of another page.

Could you help me out with this?

Button: Homepage Banner

Perfect! Worked for me also.

Yes, shopify is not as easy as wordpress to create anchor links within sections. It’s kinda very tricky to dio it without modifying the code; witch is not always the easiest solution. But, in my journey, i’ve come around with a free simple solution ! Here it is :
