Hi. My shopify trial has expired but I am not quite ready to purchase a plan yet.
- Am I still able to edit an unpublished site - and if so how long does this last?
- Is it possible to extend the trial period?

@abi-bulb Nah, you can’t extend trial periods but you can do the same thing by creating another account or if you need to do practice regarding then you can use developer account.

You can connect or create Shopify partner account and create a development store.
Development store are created for merchants by Shopify partners. They setup store for their merchants.
Benefits of development store
Since they are development store their is no time limit for making it live.
Shopify partners gets commission on Shopify plan choose by merchant.
Cons of development store
Store will be password protected until you handover the ownership to merchant and merchant don’t subscribe for any plan.
No live payment can be done on development store.( You can use bogus payment app to test the payment scenerio)
Merchant can’t take any promotional offer on this.
