Can I edit the code of a purchased theme?

Hi everyone,

I’m quite new to shopify and I’m having doubt about editing themes. I would like to purchase the Showcase theme https://themes.shopify.com/themes/showcase/styles/luna and I’ve installed the trial version but I noticed that there’s no option for editing the code. Do you know if when I’ll buy the theme I can also edit the code or the “edit code” option will still not show up? The thing is that I would like to install that theme and then edit the code to customise it.

I know this may be a dumb question but I just wanted to be sure before buying it.

Trial themes do not allow you to edit any code, once you do buy it however you can customize it as much as you please.
