I was wondering if there is any explanation for being able to change .myshopify.com URL although in reality, nothing is happening because the old one is still there. So how can I put the new one in a useful situation?
I looked up the very same question in the community and what has been said there is that you can change your URL just one time, but you cannot remove it. So, what is the point? I really did NOT get it.
Shopify store domain cannot be changed and I also recommend you use your own domain instead of shopify store domain. You can check this to learn how to add your own domain to Shopify store
The .myshopify.com domain cannot be changed. But it is only useful for store development. In production, you should always use a premium domain like yourstore.com. That being said, you should not care much about the .myshopify.com
