Can I get a refund for a closed restaurant's online store subscription?

Hi,

We’ve just got billed for the store of a restaurant that in no longer in operation.

Would it be possible to be refunded and to close the online store ?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some billing assistance, to ensure this gets resolved. To confirm I’m fully understanding however, this was a subscription fee received for an existing Shopify store you currently run?

If so, I would recommend reaching out to our Live Support for clarification on refund requests. They would be able to investigate further and provide insight. To close down the shop however, you can check out our Pausing Or Deactivating Your Store document. This touches on the various factors to consider before deactivating, as well as detailed steps on how to close the shop if decided you would like to proceed. It outlines, you can:

  • Head to Settings > Plan, from the Shopify admin.

  • Click Deactivate store.

  • To proceed with the deactivation, click Deactivate store.

  • Select a reason for the deactivation, and then click Continue.

  • Enter your password, and then click Deactivate now.
