I accidentally started a “conversation” with Shopify’s dumb chatbot that I have no desire to ever use. Now it seems to be just permanently there in my sidebar. Can I make it go away?
You could ask Sidekick how to delete old Sidekick conversations 
Honesty though, I don’t think you can. But it is a great tool. Especially for customizing the theme. It takes a bit of finesse but it’s pretty cool sometimes.
This is native option of Shopify in the latest update. So you cannot remove it.
Guess if it really bothers you, you could create a Chrome extension to hide it using CSS and some JS.

If any of you guys are here when they do the AMA on Sidekick in a couple weeks, you should bring this up.
my gripe: Deleting old conversations that are irrelevant should be a no-brainer. Besides it wastes memory space. Have a long enough conversation and the browser will crash.
Haha, i actually did ask side kick how to delete old conversations. It didnt understand
Guess they listened. There’s now three dots and delete conversation. There’s also a toggle in new chat to turn on/off memory. This came right before they had a massive bug that caused Sidekick to be temporarily removed yesterday. Seems to be working well now.
