Hi.
I have put my store into hibernate while we work on restructuring the business. We are currently paying £0 per month.
I want to also take down the sign up page that shows when people visit my site.
Can this be hidden at all?
Thanks

Hi there, @Julian1968 .
Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community with your question! This is a great place to come anytime you have questions about your Shopify store, or anything else Shopify related.
Based off of the information you’ve provided, it sounds like your customers are seeing your ‘opening soon’ page, also known as your ‘Password Page’, when visiting your site currently. To confirm, can you provide a link to your store so I can see what pops up?
This ‘Password Page’ is capable of being changed and edited through your Theme Editor within your Shopify Admin. You can search for the page in the editor, and make changes to the page, either via coding or by changing the options that are pre-loaded in the theme.
Can you describe this ‘hibernation’ plan a bit further? I’m not familiar with a plan of that name, but I am familiar with both the ‘Pause and Build’, and the ‘Pause’ Plan. Do you know which one your store is on currently?
I’ll keep my eyes peeled for your reply!
Hi @Imogen_1 and sorry for the late reply here.
Yes, it is our opening soon page that is on view and link below. I would like this to be hidden if possible.

It’s not a hibernation plan (I wasn’t sure what it was called) But I can’t access the store as I have no plan. It’s paused.
Im not 100% sure but maybe I need to open a basic plan to then hide the sign up page.
The intention is to re open the store under a new brand.
Hope this makes sense?
Thanks again.
Hey there, @Julian1968 !
Thanks for the reply! No worries on it being a little delayed. I’m still here, and happy to help!
I appreciate all of the information you provided me here. It certainly sheds more light onto your situation. It looks like your store is in the ‘Pause Plan’ based on your screenshot. That’s good to know! Since you’re on the pause plan, activating the store on the ‘Basic Plan’, or the ‘Pause and Build Plan’, would give you admin access to make edits to the page.
The link to your website confirms that the page visitors currently see if your password page. This page is meant to be a stopping point for visitors so they know that your store isn’t entirely gone, and it’s instead being worked on for future availability. You won’t be able to hide this page if your store is on the ‘Pause Plan’, as your store hasn’t been cancelled and customer’s may still be trying to find your business. Cancelling the account would hide the page, or your could point the store at a domain that isn’t active, leading to a 404 error.
My suggestion here would be to edit the information on the page to let customers know about your re-branding. Provide them some information to get them excited, as any hype of potential re-brands and launches can be powerful conversion tools!
Since you’ll need to move the store to a plan that gives you admin access to edit this page, I want to recommend reaching out to the live support team. You can share your situation with them, and they can discuss potential options for your account in more detail than what I can here in the Community. You can use this link here to get in touch with one of our advisors. I’d love for them to see if they can help you get onto the ‘Pause and Build Plan’ potentially, as that plan is only $9 a month versus the $29 a month for the ‘Basic Plan’. When you’re exploring your options with this page, doing it as cost effectively as possible would be ideal!
I hope you find this information helpful! If you have any questions, please reply to this thread and let me know!
