Can I install a new theme on a subdomain but have all orders/customers accessed from the same place?

Topic summary

  • Goal: set up landing pages on a subdomain using a third‑party page builder while protecting the main Shopify theme from heavy code injections reported in reviews.
  • Proposed approach: create a second site on a subdomain with a different theme, install the page builder there, but keep all orders and customers accessible from the same Shopify admin.
  • Core question: whether orders/customers can remain centralized in one admin if landing pages live on a separate subdomain/site with its own theme and app.
  • Context: concerns stem from reports of thousands of lines of code added by page builder apps and not always removed on uninstall.
  • Latest update: the original poster bumped the thread asking for ideas; no answers yet. Status: unresolved, with the feasibility of unified admin across the main site and subdomain still unclear.

I’m looking to create a subdomain for all of our landing pages. We want to use a third-party page builder to create these landing pages. However, after reading some of the negative reviews about thousands of line of code being injected into the main theme (and sometimes not being removed after the app is uninstalled), I’d rather create a second website on a subdomain that uses a different theme so I can add the page builder app there. But we want all orders/customers to appear within the same admin interface.

Is this possible? I’ve found similar, but different questions answered, but not this specific question.

Thank you in advance.
