Can I legally sell an adult book on an online platform?

Hi Guys,

I recently wrote a +18 book which is not arotic but has some F words content. Wanted to know if its legal to sell an adult book in the shpify.

I don’t want my account to be blocked or get sued by parents, lol

Congratulations on the completion of your book! That’s a really big deal and a huge milestone, I’m sure.

You can definitely sell your book through Shopify, as long as the product itself aligns with our acceptable use policies, there shouldn’t be any issues.

Generally, swear words, vulgar language, etc is no big deal. If you have any concerns though about minors accessing the website you can add an age disclaimer app to your store. Some examples of those can be found here: Ecommerce Plugins for Online Stores – Age Verification.
