Can I limit blog posts to regions/Markets/catalogs?

So I created some blog posts related to US and some realted my Canadian customers. i wanted to know if i can limit the pages and blog posts seen by one market or another.

@customer.tute Yes! Shopify lets you control which markets see certain content, but it depends on how you’ve set up your markets. For blogs and pages:

  • When creating or editing a page or blog post, you can assign it to a specific market under the Markets section in the editor. This way, only customers in that market will see it.

  • If you don’t assign it to a market, it defaults to all markets.

This is a good way to show US-focused content only to US customers and Canadian content only to Canadians, without duplicating posts or harming your SEO.

No, ignore the bots telling you want to hear for features that don’t exist.

Some times just ask the “AI” on the help docs while Reading The Friendly Manual your business literally depends on.

This needs an app , either a content gating app like locksmith

Or a geolocation/markets specialized app.

And or in tandem with advanced theme customizations such as a blog/article sections that is only added to specific areas using.
And or in tandem with themes store contextualization but technically the content will of course still be accessible without apps or advanced theme customizations .

Yes, you can limit content visibility by market. A few options:

  1. Separate Collections or Subfolders for each market (e.g., /us/ and /ca/).

  2. Use Shopify’s Market settings to show/hide specific pages or products per market.

  3. Hreflang tags to indicate which content is for which country—helps Google serve the right pages to the right audience.

This way, each market only sees relevant content while improving SEO.
