Can I link a bank account for store payments on Shopify?

I am building a new store and going through the setup; it seems Shopify will only allow account payment to happen with a credit card. Is there a way to link a bank account for account payments?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some billing assistance, to ensure this gets resolved. To confirm I’m fully understanding, you’re attempting to pay your Shopify bill correct?

If so, we have a great Billing FAQ document that touches on all of the accepted payment methods that can be used. This includes the following payment options:

  • A valid credit card from Mastercard, Visa, or American Express.
  • A debit card that is co‑branded with Mastercard, Visa, or American Express.
  • Shopify Balance in some regions.
  • PayPal in some regions.

As I can completely understand how this may not be ideal, I’m more than happy to pass this feedback along to our Developers. We’re always looking for ways to improve the platform and appreciate the feedback.
