My husband and I have a joint bank account however it is under his name. I want to create a Shopify store under my name.
Am I able to connect our bank account to Shopify or will it not work because it’s under his name and the store is under mine?

Using a bank account under your husband’s name is ok here: as long as the bank account meets the physical requirements for your region it should be ok to have one name on the Shopify account and another name of the bank account. Just as a note, it is possible that if your bank expects the payee name to match the account, we might need to make some adjustments to how the payout presents to the bank. But this is something we can help with! If this is an issue, you can just contact our support team here directly so our Financial Services team can fix this up for you.

I have a similar problem. Shopify rejected my first bank account. I added the second one. My account was terminated and payment re-scheduled to 120 days. So after the 120 days, Shopify tries sending the payment and my bank rejects. I ask my patner to allow us get paid with his account. He agrees. Now support staff (Carina) says that my bank account must match my name on the account. Both of my accounts were rejected and am not in position to open a new bank account right now. Please help. I have tried endlessly to seek for help and nothing seems forthcoming
