My store is for a seasonal product - tomato planters. Ideally I would only have it up and running from about March through June. Is it possible to have a seasonal store on Shopify, or would I have to create a new store each season? It seems a waste of money to just have a shell with “out of stock” items for the other 8 months of the year. Is there a way to make my account dormant for more than 90 days?

In Shopify, to keep a store running, you have some monthly subscription you are to pay when you aren’t on the store for months in neither of your seasonal periods. you will still pay
However, creating a new store everytime will make users lose view in your brand uniqueness and trust since it is always going on and off

I think the better option is that you create your store, running it in each season, then temporarily pause it for the other 8 months of the year. This could help you maintain your brand, data, customers but also save your money. For the details, you can read here.
