Can I manage products on Wix and Shopify from one platform?

Hi,

I have a question regarding Wix and Shopify.

I will be creating an e-Commerce website using Shopify and a static website using Wix. The Static website would have a catalog of products which would be there on Shopify as well.

Now I want the products to be managed from Shopify across Wix as well. I do not want to upload the products at both the platforms.

Is this possible? If not, what could be the possible solutions to this?

Hi @NikiMB1 ,

You could upload products to Shopify then use the “Buy Now” button feature to embed products and the Shopify cart onto your Wix website. However, if you don’t mind me asking, why not create the static page on Shopify and have both sites under one?

Hi, thank you for your prompt response.
There are 2 domains. In your solution to have static page, is it possible
to connect it to a different domain and the e-commerce site pages to a
different domain?

What we can do is redirect your static page’s domain towards the static page on the e-commerce website, it would then be seamless. I wouldn’t recommend having two websites to manage, it’s better to keep everything integrated.

Also, I have couple of more questions-

  1. Can mercari and Poshmark be integrated to Shopify website in the way
    ebay or Amazon do?

  2. If we use stripe payment gateway, does Shopify charge transaction per
    order along with stripe’s transaction fee per order? Or is it only Stripe’s
    transaction fee per order?

As for your questions:

  1. From what I’ve researched, there doesn’t yet seem to be any native integration between Shopify and both of these platforms
  2. The Shopify Transaction fee is different than Stripe, I would recommend you use Shopify Payments instead to waive the Shopify Transaction fee. You can check your eligibility here.

So, for point number 1 - Is it possible to develop some APIs to integrate Poshmark and Mercari to Shopify?

While technically possible, this is something that is akin to eBay & Amazon integrations, so something that has to be done by Shopify natively unfortunately.
