I’m starting to build my store on Shopify. It appears that the themes are not easy to use, especially when it comes to store designs. For example, when the colour/typo has been set in theme settings, all the colours of headlines need to be the same. I couldn’t have two headlines with different colours.
Also, I could only adjust the height but couldn’t adjust the width of image banner.
Can you please advise if these are true? If so, do I need to learn coding to be able to do the above?
In short, it entirely depends on the theme you use. Some themes have multiple, in-depth option choices through the customizer, others would require some basic coding knowledge.
For small changes, like those you have mentioned above, a few people like myself will happily provide you with solutions to these issues here for free (or a tip to cover our coffee costs! )
If you provide a link to your store and what colours you would like where and how wide you would like your image banner to be, I can more than likely provide you with some code to do so
You also have the option of having a full custom theme built and designed by hiring an expert from https://experts.shopify.com/ but this will come at a cost

The theme I used is Refresh and I’m not quite sure how customised it is. I’d really love it if you can show and teach me some basic codes so I can do it by myself next time.
