Can I prevent customers from ordering certain stock on my website?

Topic summary

A dropshipping retailer plans to introduce their own stock (not carried by their supplier) and feature it on an offers page. They are concerned about shipping complications if customers mix own-stock items with drop-shipped items in a single order.

They want to enforce a rule: if customers select items from their own stock, they should be prevented from buying items fulfilled by the drop-shipping supplier in the same checkout. Dropshipping refers to products shipped directly from the supplier rather than the retailer’s warehouse.

They ask whether this restriction can be implemented on their existing website without creating a new site. No platform or technical details were provided, and no attachments are central. No solutions or decisions emerged; the question is open with no responses yet.

Hey guys,

We currently drop ship all of our products. We’re getting our own stock which our supplier doesn’t stock and it’s going to be advertised as an (offers page). Obviously, this may cause some issues in the long run with shipping. We want to make it so that if customers order from our stock they can’t buy the stock from the drop shipping supplier, is this something that can be done without creating a new website?

Many thanks,
