Can I renew a domain without a storefront subscription?

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to do a domain renewal without a storefront subscription?

I purchased my domain name through Shopify, I am not yet ready to launch my store front anytime soon so I have yet to subscribe to a monthly payment plan to keep the store running. However, now it has come time to renew my payment for my domain and I can not seem to find a way to do it?

If the domain was definitely purchased from Shopify, you can login to renew your domain subscription in your Shopify admin as long as the domain isn’t expired. Are you currently on a trial or a build plan?

Here are the steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Domains.

  2. In the Shopify-managed domains section, click the domain that you want to renew automatically:

  3. In the Auto-renew section, check the Auto-renew this domain every year box:

  4. Your domain will now renew automatically on the date shown.
