Can I scan products, then give all these products a discount?

Topic summary

Applying a uniform discount to selected slow-moving products across POS (Point of Sale) and the online store. The goal is to scan items in-store, group them, and set a 10% discount for both sales channels.

Proposed workflow: create a dedicated collection (e.g., “December sale”) for discounted items. Add the scanned products to this collection, then create a discount and target it specifically to that collection.

Outcome and status: a feasible solution is provided using collections-based discounts, which should apply in both POS and online contexts. No further technical obstacles or disagreements are raised; thread appears resolved with a clear action path.

I am trying to optimize my workflow.

In my brick and mortar shop we have some products that don’t sell.

After a while we then add these products to the ‘sale rack’.

I want to scan a bunch of items in store. And then add a discount to ALL these items (say 10%). For the POS but also for the online store.

Is this possible?

You can create a collection and name is for example “December sale”, scan those items to collection, then create discount and apply it to that collection only.
