Ability to apply a senior discount at checkout in Shopify (Retail & POS context). Shopify currently has no native setting in the Discounts section to automatically offer senior-specific discounts at checkout.
Suggested workaround: use the third-party app VerifyPass to verify senior eligibility and apply a discount. A link to the app was provided.
Product feedback: a staff member offered to submit a feature request to add built-in support for senior discounts.
Regional limitation: a merchant in South Africa reports VerifyPass does not work with their Shopify store in that region. They requested alternative apps that can provide senior verification and discounting.
Status and open items: no alternative apps have been identified in the thread yet. The discussion remains open, pending region-compatible solutions or a future native feature.

While this isn’t a setting within the Discounts section of the Shopify admin, I found an app called VerifyPass that facilitate offering senior discounts.
If this is something you’d like to see built-into Shopify, I’m happy to submit a feature request to our developers on your behalf.
