Can I set different shipping rates for different locations on my ecommerce site?

Hi, I’ve been confused with the shipping rates setup on Shopify. Are there other ways I can set the shipping rates separately depending on where customer is? Like when the print provider is based in The US, so the shipping isn’t that high to ship domestically. But, when it comes to Australia or Asia, the rates are kinda high. I don’t want to set cost of my products to be so expensive to cover all shipping rate zones. So that I’ll never get any customers in the US.

Is there any way I can solve the problem? Would be really appreciated.

Hi @JamesTach ,

Have you used shipping zones to create rates for the different countries and regions you sell to? You can create different shipping zones for the United States, Australia, and the Asian countries where you offer your products, and then set shipping rates on a zone-by-zone basis. This will allow you to set cheaper rates for your US-based customers and more expensive ones for those based in Australia and Asia.

Also, if you wanted, you could also set varying product prices for customers in different countries using Shopify Markets and the local pricing options that are available. This, in combination with the rates you’ve set for your shipping zones, would give you greater control of your pricing on a regional basis and should prevent you from losing money when selling internationally.
