Can I start a new project with a different email for the free trial?

Hello, I previously used Shopify with an email address that probably used the free trial a while ago, however, I would like to ask if I can use a different email now to try a different project, and start with the free trail, and then the 3month discounted rate..? Sorry for the public post, but I don’t see a way to privately contact Shopify support.

Hi, @quickyellow . I’m happy to help you out with this! What kind of store are you hoping to start?

You can definitely start a new store if you’d like to. You can do this by signing up for the free trial here and any current promotions you’re eligible for will be applied. You can create multiple stores with the same email address so you can continue with whichever email address you prefer to use for this store. That being said, if you are creating a new store you may want to double check that your old store was fully closed. This guide on cancelling your subscription and deactivating your Shopify store can help.

Okay, just want to confirm that its okay to use a different email address
and REUSE the free trail again? (Don’t want to use the free trail and promo
again to avoid paying the Shopify fees if it’s not allowed haha)

If I do make the store I was thinking to do some twist on a personal
picture picture/greeting card,etc..

The free trial is on a per store basis, not a per person basis so you can definitely start a new free trial as long as you are doing this with a new store.

You aren’t able to “reuse” a free trial. What I mean by that is that once a free trial is finished you would not be able to re-start the free trial for that same store. At that point you would need to start paying for a subscription plan. However, if you are starting a new store, there is no problem at all with using the free trial offered to you.
