I need to pause our store for a few months and it says this on Shopify site:
“As of December 15, 2021, the Pause plan will no longer be available. If you selected the Pause plan before December 15, then you can remain on the Pause plan for 90 days from the date that you activated the Pause plan. After 90 days, you are upgraded to the Pause and Build plan, which is $9 USD per month.”
Does this mean it is no longer possible to pause a store, or does it mean that it is no longer free (as it was prior to 15 December) ?
Thanks for posting here! You would be correct in saying that there is no longer an option to Pause a store.
The plan has now been deprecated since December 15. This mean this plan is no longer an option to choose. That being said, may I ask for some more context as to why you need to pause your store? As an alternative, you could opt for our Pause and Build plan instead. With this plan, your store continues to run at a reduced cost of $9 USD per month. This means you can work on your admin and edit your products when you need to, however the checkout is disabled, so customers cannot make any purchases, explore more about this plan here. To be eligible for the Pause and Build plan, your store needs to be on a paid plan and at least 60 days past the free trial period. If your store doesn’t meet these criteria, then you can’t pause your store.
I hope this helps, please do let me know if you have any questions!
