It is not possible to “swap” a theme with another person. When a theme is purchased from the Shopify theme store, that theme can only be used on one store at a time. We allow merchants to transfer a paid theme from one store to another, provided that they are closing the original store it was purchased on and are the named store owner’s for the new store. You can read more on our theme policies right here, the relevant section states: “You are not permitted to transfer or sell a Theme to any other person’s Store on Shopify or elsewhere. Multiple Stores require multiple downloads and each download is subject to the applicable fee.”
I hope this helps to clarify things for you, Boris! Just to be clear - you can absolutely try out and use the Symmetry theme if you wish - you will not be charged a fee for this unless you publish the theme.
