Can I switch payment apps in my active store without disruptions?

Hi, I am new and like to do it right the first time if possible :slightly_smiling_face:

I have an online store that is active with digital products and one subscription-based program that is available online as well. My currently payment app, Sealoop is not working as desired esp with the subscription-based program. Now looking to switch that over to Shopify Payments or Stripe or any that will work in my situation.

Questions are:

  1. When I switch to another payment app like Shopify Payments or Stripe - will this switch over instantly without distruption to customers who may want to buy now?

  2. When I switch over, products and programs remain the same, just changing the payment app - Do I have to make any changes to the products tagging or anything at all? Current app is still active in store.

  3. If I use Shopify Payments, I read that I may have to take on another subscription app to work with my subscription-based program in the store, is this right? Can I just use Shopify Payments for this subscription-based program instead of using another app?
