Can I use a barcode scanner to add inventory details?

Not sure if there are any apps out there that can do this. I want to add inventory using a Barcode scanner. Are there any apps that I can use a scanner to pull the items details?

We actually have Shopify - Supported Barcode Scanners that you can take a look at here that may benefit you! Most of which can be easily set up from your Iphone or Ipad.

However, if you already have a Barcode Scanner and just wanting suggestions for apps, take a look at the suggestions below -

  • Quick Scan: This app allows you to add and deduct inventory quantity in your store. Quick Scan is compatible with most barcode scanners on the market.

  • EasyScan: SKU and Barcode: This app allows you to create and fulfill orders by scanning items with a barcode scanner or smart device, preventing errors. You can also check your product stock by scanning the barcode or SKU.

There are a lot more apps you can look into within our Shopify App Store bearing in mind ratings, reviews and costs that suit you and your business!

Ah I see, unfortunately EasyScan isn’t able to import product data for a product by scanning its UPC.

EasyScan is great for updating your inventory for products that you already have added to your Shopify store by using a barcode scanner or mobile device.
