Klarna cannot currently be used as a Shopify accelerated/express checkout (fast checkout buttons in cart/checkout) or as a supported Klarna Express Button within Shopify. - Some merchants have custom‑coded workarounds to mimic Klarna Express behavior, but these are not official integrations.
Pricing/commissions: Klarna takes standard payment processing fees when customers choose Klarna at checkout. Questions about affiliate‑style commissions (e.g., 17%) weren’t resolved; merchants were directed to Klarna Business Support for specifics.
Issues reported: A “Sorry, something went wrong” popup when attempting an express button in a minicart was redirected to another thread; an app install error (“failed request with status code 404”) was reported without an in‑thread fix.
Status: Unresolved and ongoing; key open question is when/if Shopify will allow Klarna Express Checkout.
