so, i want to use Polaris library for building my application that is not anything related to Shopify. so can i use it for my own purpose??

is that mean like we can use Polaris for my own purpose applications but the design should not be similar to shopify components. right??
and if this is correct then can you give me some example at what extent the design should not be similar.

Honestly I can’t give you examples because I never built non-shopify related apps using polaris. It’s only within Shopify.
I believe that statement means that when someone familiar with Shopify goes into your app, they shouldn’t think that it’s Shopify related. Basically the design shouldn’t imply that the two platforms are related. This is a grey area, so if I were you I wouldn’t do it at all. It’s safer to use your own components.
