Can I use Shopify hosting to share my coded website?

I coded a website and I have a hosting at shopify. Do you know if I can use this hosting to share my site on the internet without necessarily going through the shops.

I’m not 100% sure what you mean, however, you don’t necessarily have to serve a shop from Shopify — our own primary store in only on sale certain times of year, and in between it’s just a promotional site (effectively) with all the shopping options hidden.

Thank for you answer but I don’t think you have understood

I explain to you :
I coded a new site. And I would like it linked to my site on shopify. I have several domain names on shopify. How do I get myself hosted on these domain names.
Cordially

It sort of depends on a number of specifics, so apologies if the following list isn’t very specific:

  • Shopify’s web pages are all part of a Theme, so if you have created a theme, you can upload that.
  • If you’ve created a website in something else, it wouldn’t be easy to upload these and serve it from Shopify (possible, just not easy).
  • You cannot upload dynamic files - Shopify only supports .liquid files (+ the usual CSS/JS and images). Static HTML documents won’t work either (although again, there are some caveats with assets uploaded via the Files admin)
  • If your site is hosted elsewhere, but you want to use one of your Shopify domain names, you could update the DNS records for those domains to point to your 3rd party host.
  • If you’re just wanting to link your domain to your Shopify site, there are options in admin under Domain.
  • If you’re simply want to link a shop pre-existing site (such as mysite.com), I’d add a subdomain of say shop.mysite.com, and have Shopify resolve the that, leaving your existing site as is).
