Can anyone help me with errors on the login page?
If I type the wrong email and right password I get an error
Incorrect email or password.
But when I type the right email and wrong password I get the same error.
I want to know if I can get different messages with specific reasons for errors like
Are you referring the customer account log in for your storefront? If so, may I ask why you are looking to change the wording of the error message?
Having a generic message such as “Incorrect email or password” is designed to keep your customer’s information secure. Should someone try to hack an account, we would not want to narrow down exactly which private information they are inputting incorrectly.
Please provide a bit more context on the “why” behind this change. I’ll be happy to see what can be done.
