I want my social links to open new tabs so I have searched in footer.liquid and the ahref links are not in there. I have searched every file that others suggest in this forum but my code is always different than the example and I can not find the code I am looking for. I even searched href outside of all pages at the top hoping it would show all pages with that code in it but it doesnt. Please help me locate and update this code so I can finally open my store.

Can you take a screenshot or share the link of where your social links are on the website? From there we can isolate where the code may be.

My web address is https://whishty.com/ and you will see it still is in development. I have social icons in the announcement bar and in the footer and I want them both to open new tabs when clicked. I have searched everywhere for both sets and can find related code but not the hrefs.

(a)From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
(b)Find the theme you want to edit, and then click Actions >
(c)Open the social-icons.liquid file in your Snippet folder.
(d)Paste this code.
target=“_blank” after escape }}"
(e) Click Save.
