Can Shopify apps reformat default order numbers?

Hi,

Does anyone know if Shopify allows apps to reformat and restructure the default order number like 1090 or EU-1090 or 1099-XX to something more meaningful to the merchants to something like EU-23-004-008 etc?

I read somewhere that Shopify Plus merchants are granted this feature but not sure where I read it. Are there any apps right now doing this at all?
