Can Shopify handle one-time hardware purchase and monthly subscription fees?

Need help with the following question

Q: We are in the business of selling electronics and follow a SaaS model. That is, when the hardware is purchased by our customer, the customer is charged for the hardware (one time) followed by a monthly subscription fee for the hardware. Does Shopify support this flow?

I see that the subscription apps partnered with Shopify raises an order for the product in addition to billing the customer monthly. In our case, we need to raise an order for the hardware only once, followed by monthly subscription fee for the hardware.

Can you please direct me to apps or a Shopify resource that support this?

We have set up multiple subscription plans like you describe with our app Simple Subscriptions.
You are able to set an initial order price (the one time hardware charge) and have the following charges be only the subscription fee.
