I have a bakery and cake shop and am deciding whether Shopify is the right platform for me to build my new website on. Currently I’m on wordpress/woocom, and would love to switch to Shopify because of their POS/Ecom duality. However my business uses DoorDash as a last mile white glove delivery service and this is extremely important to the business.
I contacted door dash and they provided api/sdk information (it’s beyond my knowledge but I will hire someone to do this). Does Shopify allow integration like this? I’m really hoping to have some light shed on this before I start building the site only to find out after it isn’t possible.
I was also wondering if an app like Zapiet could take care of this for me? Would really appreciate any help here, thank you!
I believe you’re on the right track as far as Zapiet. While I can’t speak for them directly, as they are a third-party integration, DoorDash does offer collaborator steps here, how to implement a storefront link here, and Zapiet does offer Last Minute Delivery API for Shopify. So while there is no direct integration at this time, it appears to be doable through these third-party workarounds.
Zapiets app found on the Shopify store is called Store Pick-up and Delivery, and they offer livechat, telephone and email support to assist you in getting set-up.
At this stage, your next step would be to connect with a member of the Zapiet team to clarify your business needs as far as the integration and see how their services can pull that all together for you.
Also, if integration requires any API knowledge that is beyond your scope, I recommend connecting with a Shopify Expert to help you out. These are developers well versed with the platform that can help you reach optimal results and avoid any hiccups.

Square integrates directly with DoorDash Drive so when customers place an order the delivery is automatically scheduled in the Doordash Drive Merchant Portal!! This integration was the reason I switched over to Square.
Is square a payment method on shopify? and then payed Door Dash Drive is scheduled to delivery? or am I missing something here? I have a convenince store in development and I’m looking for a 3rd party service like Door Dash. I had alot of trouble trying to figure out how to do the API integration myself so am considering walking away from this.
Square offers integration I have a pretty large company that is getting ready to switch completely over to square because this feature is not available on shopify.
