Can Shopify support a large-scale, multilingual online store in Switzerland?

I am the owner of Tondo Music, Switzerland largest online vinyl seller and owner of three vinyl shops. I am looking to open a new online business and brick and mortar shop selling used Videos, Videogames and Books and was thinking of doing it with Shopify.

The questions are:

  1. Shopify Switzerland speaks ONLY German?? I do not speak a single word of German and I am native English and would like to set up my shop in ENGLISH for the Swiss Market with the option for Italian, French and German if possible. Does Shopify Switzerland provide any support in Switzerland in English?

  2. Where do I find help in setting the shop up? does shopify offer help in setting up shops? Please do not answer that it is easy to set it up as what I have in mind is a rather large business with some 55,000 items in inventory and on sale. Currently my record shop and my custom software handles over 120,000 items but I do not with to start over and was wondering if shopify is the answer.

  3. Lastly, is there a software out there that can find the product information of an item by scanning the barcode and uploading that information on shopify?

I’m not aware of a software that can upload product information by scanning a barcode, but you can use a CSV file to import all of your product data.
