Hello,
we are facing problems with coutry name. Shopify is using Czech republic (as it is downloaded from google maps) but it is not a valid country name acording to ISO standards, it should be Czechia. As the name is not correct we are having issues with fulfillment app sync. Can Shopify update the name to Czechia?

Thank you for sharing those details and information about the issue you are facing. I have reviewed the ISO website and I can confirm that the Czech Republic is still considered the full name while Czechia is considered the short name.
Have you connected with the fulfillment app developers to assist in troubleshooting the issues you have?

thank you for your answer. Indeed The Czech republic is the oficial name but as I can see in the spopify countries selection only short name are used.
For example I can find “Afganistan” not “the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan”.
It would be acurate to use Czechia.
Fulfillment developers are trying to fix it currently.
Can Shopify fix it?
This is not something we would be able to fix directly. You are correct that our address information is imported from Google Maps and we use their database to autofill addresses. The fulfillment app you are using will need to update how their apps references locations like Czechia.
