We have two vastly different themes for the same store on Shopify. Both of them are connected through Github. Is it possible to A/B test them and check which theme is performing better?
Hey @ducnguyen_sri ,
Thanks for reaching out.
Yes, it is possible to A/B test two different themes on Shopify to see which one performs better. However, Shopify itself doesn’t provide a built-in feature for A/B testing. You’ll need to use third-party services to accomplish this.
There are several tools available like Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize, etc. These tools allow you to split your website’s traffic between the two themes and track their performance!
We have been using A/B testing tools to test certain pages. However, it has the same theme. We want to test two completely different themes if possible.
I see! Neat A/B Testing creates a duplicate of your store and applies the second theme to it. It then splits traffic between your original store and the duplicate store, allowing you to test two different themes. However, this is a paid app and its effectiveness may vary.
