My client just got access to the new Markets feature. We are very excited about this. However it seems like we can’t use it without Shopify Payments. We are in a location where we can’t use Shopify Payments. Is there any documentation what features we can use without Shopify Payments? Or has someone tried this already and can share which features are available without Shopify Payments? I tried to chat with support but that was no use.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! You can certainly utilize Shopify Markets even if Shopify Payments is not being used. There are however, some limitations and will only be able to access the following features:
- Selling in up to 20 languages in a single store and the ability to set up International Domains. This will ensure the customers land on the correct language version of your website.
- Marketing Management Functions to create, customize, and preview markets.
- Enabling Multiple Currencies to allow customers to browse and shop in their preferred currency. Customers will still be required to check out in the shops default currency.
Hopefully this provide some insight to setting up Shopify Markets, but please let me know if you have any other questions.

Are there any new developments regarding markets and the requirement for Shopify payments since this post was last answered 6 months ago?
My primary store is in South Africa (about 4 years old). We are wanting to open into the UK and EU in the next month with Markets.
I am unable to toggle the currency as it requires Shopify payments. So I am in need of enabling a payment gateway that is accepted in UK/EU, as well as enabling currency based on where the site is being used from.
Related to Markets, I am starting with only a few products. Will customers see my entire store or only the few products I have chosen to start with?
I have seen some articles on Shopify Markets Pro: is this going to be the solution? When is this likely to go live?

You’re right to be excited about Shopify Markets—it allows you to manage international pricing, domains, and localization. However, many features like multi-currency checkout and local payment methods require Shopify Payments.
If Shopify Payments isn’t available in your region or your store deals with restricted products, you can still use Shopify Markets, but with limited checkout functionality.
