Could our current PC, which runs Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, support Shopify? Additionally, what items are necessary to purchase from Shopify? We currently have a cash drawer and card reader. Would we need to switch entirely to Shopify hardware, or could we continue to operate with our current equipment while using Shopify?

You can use Shopify with any of the following supported browsers on Windows or Mac as well as any mobile devices on Apple’s iOS or Google’s Android operating systems. However, whether you can continue using your existing hardware or purchase new hardware will depend on your current crash drawer and card reader. On that note, we actually have a specific landing page for eligible merchants migrating from QuickBooks on the Shopify Hardware store where you’ll be able to see our hardware and check whether they’re the same as your existing ones. Currently, the only hardware that is known to be fully compatible with our Shopify POS is the Star Micronics cash drawer.
