I just tested the feature from Shopify POS of sending the customer a receipt by SMS. When I received the text message, it appeared to be sent “from” an area code (213) number.
Is there any way to customize the “from” number used for SMS?
Ideally, I would like any SMSes to customers to appear to come “from” our main business line. We use that number for text support anyway — so a customer could reply directly to the receipt with any questions, and contact us easily.
My same question applies to any SMS sent from Shopify on my company’s behalf… but the SMS receipt is really what triggered the question. ![]()
