Can you duplicate a product to have the product from two vendors?

Hello,

I am sorry if I keep posting questions in the wrong spaces, I can never seem to figure out which label my questions are supposed to have.

I have a couple products that multiple vendors have identical products (different regions hold their own inventory of the items) If I wanted to add an existing product to a new vendor is there a way on the website to duplicate a product then change the vendor? Or do I have to export the product list, make the changes then import the csv?

The best way is to export the products using CSV, and perform the modifications to create new products for different vendor.

But I’d suggest you to stop and think if it is the right solution to solve your problem.

I don’t think it is a good idea to have duplicated product for different vendor, it could be confusing for the customer and bad for SEO.

I suggest you to create a logic on your product page, maybe using variants for different vendors, custom metafields and a custom logic in showing the details to the user and managing the post purchase processing.
