I’m struggling to find out if shopify will perform an action I’d like for my store.
Say I have a dietary supplement and it can be used for paleo and vegan diets, can I have buttons on my landing page that will say are you paleo? or vegan? and if they click paleo it show the products with the paleo descriptions only, same thing for vegan.
But it’s the same product with the same stock level so I don’t have to have multiple copies.
does that make sense?

As I understand it, you want to have two different descriptions for the same product so that you can include that product in two collections. The only way to do this is to duplicate the product, something that I understand you don’t want to do for inventory reasons.
Of course, you could simply disable inventory tracking in your store, but I understand that you probably don’t want to do that as keeping track of your inventory could be quite important for you.
Truthfully, you could simply include separate descriptions on the same product page! So it would look something like this:

It’s great that you’re selling all these healthy food options! You could always find inspiration from other stores and may even find solutions to some of your own store hurdles. Do you have a plan in place for BFCM? What kind of marketing strategies are you employing right now?
