Can you please tell me what code to add so I can have a link to image block in footer?

I am using the Trade theme, where you cannot add a link or URL to the image block in the footer.

I have copied and pasted the footer.liquid code here in full. Can you please tell me exactly what code to add and exactly to add it, to achieve this ?

  1. In your footer section settings, add a new “Image link URL” field right after the image picker and alt-text inputs.

  2. In the template that outputs each block, wrap the image in a link only when you’ve filled in its URL.

  3. Save your changes, open the Theme Editor → Footer, enter your URLs in the new fields, and your images will be clickable.
