Can you sell custom-made products with a 'request for pricing' model on Shopify?

Hi

I am considering opening a shopify store and am having a heard time trying to find answers to some questions I have

is it possible on the shopify platform to create a store selling custom made by request products without a fixed listing price ?

basically a contact for pricing model

products would be custom made based on customers selection and a ’ request for pricing ’ button ideally would be implemented

before I go through the set up process can anybody advise on this

it is hard to get support

ok so does this mean you can basically have a request for pricing ?
meaning listings with a contact for price button

You can create a site with a “Request Pricing” button without any issues, you can either code this or use an app to get this functionality up and running. Definitely doable.

Yes it is! When using a new 2.0 supported theme (all current free themes + many of our listed ones), you can alter the product page template so that you can remove the buy/add to cart button and instead redirect customers to contact you for more info. You can also change the product into an “interest” product so customers can checkout with their contact info but no charges at the checkout. This way you can track interest and contact the customer to finalize the order and details.

You can also look at using an app that adds additional product options to more heavily customize the product page. Best Product Variants Apps For 2022 On Shopify App Store.

Lastly, if you want a setup that is built in and doesn’t require any apps you can look at hiring a developer to customize some different page templates for you if your needs are beyond what the standard templates provide.
