Can you sell tobacco accessories on Shopify without their payment solution?

Hi, hope everyone is doing well.

I Have a friend who is considering to open a Shopify store that sells tobaco / smoking accessories like pipes, bongs and vaporizers in europe. What i find on Google is that Shopify allows to use of plattform but that he cannot use their payment solution and that he have to find another payment solution. Is that correct?

Yes. There are some exceptions though depending on the area you are selling the product to. I would recommend contacting Shopify support regarding this.
