Can you tag new customers or first orders?

Hi,

When we get a new customer, or a customer places their first order, the marketing literature they get in their delivery is different. When you look at your shopify orders you can see how many orders a customer has placed. I want to be able to highlight new customers/first orders on our packing slips so the order fulfillment team know which leaflets to put in.

Is there a way to do this? It is like an automation rule I suppose to add ‘new customer’ or ‘first order’ as a note on packing slips?

If there is a simple way to just print the customers order number (i.e. number of orders they have placed) on the packing slip, this would work well too.

You could tag the order or add to the order notes. If you have Shopify Flow you should be able to do that.

Or you can use Order Automator, it handles automation tasks like this and is also customizable, if there’s something you’re trying to do that the app cannot do out of the box just reach out for help setting up a solution.
